The Telfordaires are a men's barbershop chorus based in Wellington, Shropshire, and have been singing and entertaining audiences in the area since the 1970s.
A friendly and welcoming chorus, we rehearse weekly in Wellington, Shropshire and perform regularly across the county. We have sung at events ranging from the Attingham Park Classic Car Rally to a dinner cabaret for the Rotary Club and community events, such as the Mayor’s Christmas carol service.
Originally the Madeley and District Male Voice Choir, the chorus became the Telfordaires when we joined the
British Association of Barbershop Singers and chose to specialise in 4-part a cappella music. We now sing in the barbershop style a range of popular and traditional songs, entertaining audiences at a wide variety of local venues from business conferences to charity events.
As a
registered charity, the Telfordaires promote singing in the community and supports local causes. Each year we are proud to select a particular local charity to support; and in 2022-2023 this is
